We align program offerings to internal roles and career pathways, offering opportunities for employees to pursue their career. Eligible employees have the opportunity to advance their education and career with Amazon Career Choice and NECC.
What is Amazon Career Choice?
Amazon’s Career Choice program is an education benefit that empowers Amazon employees to learn new skills including pre-paid college tuition, industry certifications designed to lead to in-demand jobs, and foundational skills such as English language, high school diplomas, and GEDs.
What Programs Are Available?
All NECC certificate and degree programs are approved for Amazon Career Choice students so that you can find the right path for you.

How to Apply
1. Fill out the NECC Amazon Career Choice inquiry form, below.
An NECC recruitment counselor will reach out to you to discuss your program of interest and walk you through the application process.
2. Complete NECC’s Application & Enrollment Checklist Requirements
- Complete NECC’s Application
- Request a copy of your High School Diploma, HiSET, or GED. You’ll need it to enroll at NECC.
- Complete the Enrollment Checklist Requirements (these steps MUST be required in order to register for courses.)

- Complete the Self-Paced Virtual Orientation.
- Complete the Self-Guided Placement Online.
- Optional: Apply for Financial Aid, either through FAFSA or MASFA. NECC’s school code is 002174.

Once your application is submitted and processed, you will receive confirmation emails and a welcome packet in the mail.
3. Meet with Academic Advising
Once all these steps are completed Northern Essex Office of Academic Advising will reach out to you to set-up your preliminary academic advising appointment where you will discuss your program of study curriculum plan and complete course selection for your first semester
4. Complete the Amazon Career Choice payment request form for your chosen school and program. Amazon will pay Northern Essex Community College directly.
